How are they unique?

Union Institute and University recognizes the demanding professional qualifications of law enforcement and police personnel through a unique articulation agreement which awards you 32 hours of college credit for your basic POST certificate.  Moreover, through our certified learning program it is possible to recognize your advanced POST certified training through the certification of an additional 30 units college credits.  Most tenured police officers begin our program with over 60 units and graduate with a BS in less than one year.

Who are their instructors and advisors?

All of the criminal justice degree advisors are retired police officers.  In the Los Angeles office there is over 100 years of police and law enforcement experience among the advisors alone.  Our faculty consists of high-quality, part-time adjuncts who are full-time or retired practitioners like you.  Your instructor not only knows the theory, but has done the job.  They specialize in all facets of the criminal justice management and the criminal justice system.

Where does learning take place?

Criminal Justice Management courses begin every eight weeks.  The Union Institute and University offers maximum flexibility by having traditional classes at local community colleges, police stations, law enforcement facilities and in our own state-of-the-art facility.  Additionally, we have a tutorial system where you can complete your degree at home, the office or while waiting in court.  We meet your needs because we have experienced them.
