Lt. Foster's class has substantially increased my knowledge in the terrorism field.  I feel that I am better prepared to both recognize and handle a terrorist situation should I ever be plunged into handling one.  It also provides a wake up call in the fact that we, in the law enforcement field, do not receive enough training to be effective when terrorist act happens.  We will always find a way to power through the problem but the more knowledge we have the better prepared we will be and maybe, just maybe, we can stop it before it happens.

This class also goes hand in hand with my Current Issues in Law Enforcement class.  Terrorism is obviously a current issue and I will pass on what I am learning to others in my career field.

I abosolutely agree with you. If we had this kind of training prior to 911, I believe it never would have happened. Those of us in law enforcement are already trained to handle tough situations but like you said; the better trained and the more we learn about terrorisn and how those cowards operate. The better chance we have of making sure it does not happen again.

Take Care!
