Hello, I was wondering if you could assist me in going about getting my book published, noticed anything LOL I wrote it over the past 3 years since I started in bail enforcement I have compiled hundreds of articles, notes etc. and I implemented that into a book a "manual" of sorts.

So I was wondering what I can do to get exposure, can you help?

Greetings:

This is the big question all writers face – actually two questions.  How do I start and how do I get published?  Here are few suggestions to build credibility and establish expertise.

1. Start a blog now on bail enforcement, fugitive issues – a quick check of them didn’t seem to show many out there.  There are a ton of free services out there – you can see one of my here http://www.terrorism-online.blogspot.com

2. According to yahoo, bail bonds, bail, bail bondsman and bail enforcement agent are among the most popular search terms in this venue.  And, the web address – http://www.bailbond-enforcement.com is available.  I would register it and start hunting around for a cheap webhosting service

3. Produce an online CV like mine at http://www.hitechcj.com/id55.html.

4. As you begin to organize your notes, etc for writing, pick out your best stuff for posting on your blog and website.

5. Go to my forum at http://www.criminaljustice-online.com and become the subject matter expert in this area.

6. Once you have organize your notes and materials, begin an outline – chapters first – what needs to be in your book.

7. Once you have the rough outline – develop a query letter and book proposal for publishers…you can find many links to these items on the web.

8. Develop a stellar query letter – begin sending it out.

9. Start writing your book while the query letters are percolating…..You will receive a lot of rejects – it’s a real niche market you have proposed.

10. I think you will ultimately have to explore self-publish via any number of services.
