Dear Sir,

I found your list of recommended books about police leadership on Amazon.com. I am in the process of conducting research for a college paper on this very topic. I am looking for information that will support my contention that good police leadership has an overall positive impact on the police community, including departments, officer morale and performance, police-citizen relations, lower incidents of police misconduct, crime reduction, and a host of other related issues. Furthermore, if this information is backed with statistical data, I think that would greatly enhance the credibility of my research. With this said, I was wondering if you would kindly make some recommendations and suggestions on where to locate some of this information.

Thank you in advance for you time and consideration,

Go to http://www.hitechcj.com/union-criminaljusticesupervision/

Scroll down and look at the article assigned for the course.  You can access all of them through you universities online library portal.  The lion’s share of them are from scholarly journals and will like help you with your project.  From these articles you should be able to get a grasp on the subject.

I also recommend you take a look at the recommended reading lists from the International Association of Chiefs of Police at http://www.hitechcj.com/chiefslist and the recommended leadership and professional development reading lists from the various branches of the military – at http://www.hitechcj.com/afrl.  You may find some clues as to which books would help with your project.
