Hi there, J here.
I have applied to a small sheriff's department close to home here in Iowa. I will be taking a POST test if my app is accepted. I've spent some time in college under a CJ degree, but are there any resources anyone can list to give me a better shot at a higher score for this test? Any pointers? The physical aspect of the testing doesn't concern me, but the test worries me a little.
Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give,
J

I am unsure which test you are refering too; a typical test is like a mini-SAT, same types of questions, looking at your reading comprehension, basic math, etc. Another test you might be taking is the actual POST accrediation test for your state. If that's the test, other than studying up on what they taught you regarding law and basic police procecure in your state, not much you can do.
However, the following article will help you get a better score on any exam, particularly civil service exams.
