I am writing a paper on the Brenton Butler case.  He was the 15 year old that was accused of killing a lady in Jacksonville, FL. My question is, why did the police officers lie?  If you have seen Murder on a Sunday Morning(documentary) then you know the lies given by three police officers. I know it was to make them not look bad and to protect them but are there other reasons as to why they lied?

Take a look at this article - explore the idea of Noble Cause misconduct in your paper.

Good luck.

That is a good article. Thank you sir. I think the fact that there was a white tourist killed by a black man put a rush on finding a suspect.  They needed someone fast so when they found a black man walking "near" the scene, they jumped on him.
