The National Protection Center at the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center seeks input from law enforcement officers on current use of, and requirements for future improvements to, officer-worn duty belts. If you wear a duty belt in conjunction with your daily job functions, the Natick Soldier Center would appreciate your response to the survey found at (LINK), which will help provide the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) with important user feedback from those on the front lines.

The survey should take an average of five minutes to complete. If you are interested in providing additional information as the Natick Soldier Center continues to research this issue, including participating in a focus group or being interviewed, please send your contact information to NATI-NPC@CONUS.ARMY.MIL after completing the survey. All information received will remain anonymous and confidential and will be used only in support of this research.

If the link above does not open, please cut and paste the following into your browser to access the survey:
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/naticklcssurvey.

This survey was distributed through various organizations and agencies (e.g., the International Association of Chiefs of Police, JUSTNET), so if you previously completed the "Natick Load Carriage Survey," please disregard this request. Also, please feel free to forward this e-mail to other colleagues; the more responses received, the more valuable the results and recommendations.

NIJ has funded the Natick Soldier Center to research potential improvements and/or alternatives to law enforcement duty belts in order to increase officers' operational effectiveness (IAA# 2010-MU-R-5777).
