Randy Halpin, was convicted and sentenced to death row for killing a police officer.  However, the argument still remain on whether or not Randy's my space account sholuld be delected.  I think that his my space should be delected.  Firstly, I do not believe that he should receive any special priveleges for his wrongdoing.   Giving him the opportunity to communicate with others is like rewarding him for the unlwaful crime that he has commited. :X

Hello, I strongly agree in your response regarding Ralph the cop killer.  His my space account should be deleted and he should have no access on the Internet.  No detainees should have any access to the Internet.  By doing so you are giving them another opportunity to communicate or to locate victims through various websites.

I am presently in Texas and I quizzed just a few people about this topic, actually all law enforcement employeed in one way or another and all of them differ from my opinion that is stated in the other thread.  They all (I am starting to talk Texan) agree that he should not be allowed any type of public exposure, no mail to newspapers much less a Myspace account.   That is the opinion of about seven  law enforcement employees in the greater Houton TX area.

It's crazy that priviliges of any kind are allowed in prison.  It's unfortunate but some of the same things that make this such a great country also allow for cold blooded killer's to have priviliges.
