I am curious to know about starting salaries from state to state in Corrections. In Virginia, level 1 units start around 22K, and the pay goes to $25,300 at ROSP (level 6). In Virginia, after an officer completes his mandated one year probation period, and moves to Senior Officer, he receives a 10% salary raise. The Commonwealth recently awarded us an 8% raise (4% just this November then the other 4% next November). I am just wondering how the pay scales are set up along this great nation of ours. Any input would certainly be appreciated.
