Many thanks to the new moderators. We have a dozen or so private investigators on the forum. Some of them are retired police officers, other went into the field directly. We changed the "security" forum to "private investigators and security" to recognize their efforts in the field of criminal justice. As you students of CJ know, historically, CJ started out as a "private business" went public (with the founding of official police forces, etc.) and coming full circle, many of the functions of the CJ system are actually providing by not only civilian LEO employees, but by private firms.
