I have a question that I was hoping that you could answer or maybe even point me in the right direction.

I am from a small department in a town in NE Kansas. We are in dire need of new vehicles and equipment, but our budget is as small as our department. Our budget won't allow us to purchase all of the things that we "should" have. Heck we are driving cars that don't even have cages in them!!

Anyway, I was hoping that you could help me out or maybe point me in the right direction. Anything would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Take a look at the recommendations in this posting, also you may want to contact Rod Helm, he is the resident expert on police grants.

This yahoo group is an excellent location to find advice from police officers writing and administering grants.

As Cjustice posted above (very kindly) this site may be able to help you out.  It was originally geared toward PD's only, but now has some other public safety disciplines involved.
