Hello Everyone,

I am a police officer with the Los Angeles School Police Department. I am currently taking CRJ 410 Management of Criminal Justice Information Systems. Once I complete my undergraduate program, I plan on obtaining a masters degree. I am undecided on which university I will attend after UIU. In this course, I expect to learn a variety of security technologies and how I can apply them to both my career and personal life.

My agency has recently made it a requirment to possess a B.A./B.S. to promote to Lt. It seems to be the growing trend upmongst law enforcement agencies. We have to possess the degree if we want to climb the tree...or is it ladder. LoL

Chris,

Thanks for the info on how to get the exams. Since exam 2 is due Monday, I was trying to find them on the class web-page. I forgot that Lt. Foster sent them to us via e-mail. Good thing you made this post - I was stressing when I couldn't find the questions.

I currently have 13 years with the Los Angeles Police Department. Law enforcement was a career change that I after running a small family owned business. I am currently assigned as a homicide investigator but most of my career has been spent in narcotics. I have also worked patrol, various crime suppression details and a couple of short admin tours. I have never completed a college education but have made this a personal goal of mine. I am also looking forward to the new career opportunities that will come from having a college degree.

HELLO MY NAME IS ENRIQUE, I LIVE IN VENTURA COUNTY AND CURRENTLY WORK FOR A POLICE DEPARTMENT IN VENTURA COUNTY. I HAVE WORKED FOR THIS POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR ELEVEN YEARS. I CURRENTLY WORK AN AUTO THEFT TASK FORCE THAT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR AUTO THEFT CRIMES IN THE COUNTY. MY GOALS ARE TO BECOME A CORPORAL IN THE NEXT YEAR.
