Well at this point it has been hard but good. I been able to learn objectives that have helped me in my current possession at work. Going to school has opened my eyes to a different world of knowledge in law enforcement that I did not know existed. I would encourage any body to take this class and learn from it. I believe that law enforcement is not only about running around and chasing the bad guys. Its about stopping the victim ,location, and the suspect being able to meet. Using technology will help us move toward that direction.

Replay to James7318...

The pro's and con's are things we need to look at in a closer way. I would like to focus on the con's to day.

1.I believe that there is a difficulty to satisfy the end-user synchronizing his old ways to the new ways.

2. Power control is factor in this equation. Who gets the power to control the new technology?

3. Implementing soft handoff, and also for countering multiple paths and fading effects of our new technology.

4. Low throughput efficiency for large number of end-users that don't like to use the new technology

5. Feedback delay errors in the feedback channel. Officer don't want to communicate

It is hard to believe we only have one week left of this fall session. It has been a good learning experience. Eight weeks goes by so fast. See you next tuesday.

I introduced myself earlier, but I just now realized that I mistakenly created a new topic rather than respond to the required forum.  Anyway, I have been a police officer for 23 years, and look forward to finally earning my degree.  Good luck to all of you!!!!
