Congrats on the new forum, Raymond!

Rod Helm here.  I'm the managing partner at Grant Writing USA.  If needed, I can likely be of assistance in the grants section of the forum.

Hey Ray, Awesome site, with lots of options. Well done. Rick Michelson, Criminal Justice Professor, 30 years in LE. I'll contribute some material also in the leadership/supervision arena.

Greeting Rick:

I am looking forward to your posts.  I have enabled you as a moderator.  Rick is being a little shy about his background, many years in police management, a professor at least two universities, he is the "go to" source about assessment centers..hint hint those of you looking for promotion...and, he is working on his PhD...

Welcome Rick...what did I miss?

Hello my name is Chenell Wooten I have chosen to return back to school so that I can seek a promotion, and further enlighten myself about the field of Criminal Justice I find it very interesting. I’m currently on medical leave. I got a Kidney transplant, on February 3, 2006 , by the way I’m doing well,

however when I am working I work in probation with Juvenile, I find it to be very interesting. I’m currently assigned to CDP with is Community House Arrest, my duty under this title is to make sure the minor and parent understands that when and if the minor violate the conditions of the court order, that he or she will be detained in the Juvenile Hall until the next court date or perhaps time will be extended on house arrest. This position allows me to have a one on one with the minor and the parent or parents. I truly can say I enjoy my job. I’m looking forward to the new information that I will be receiving from this class, and begin to apply it. I’ve already start paying attention to the frequency of the radio and why we lose stations or pick up another it is interesting to me.

Hi LT,

Just figuring out this on-line chat thing.  Got the book and am really impressed!  It is not the "dry-put-you-to-sleep" text that most class texts are.  I was a little trepidatious about this class being able to meet my needs as a Pub Admin major, but now that I have spent some time in your web-site and figuring out this communication thing, I'm really excited to be learning some really valuable information and developing the tools that I know will lead to a lucrative career advancement. Tamara
