My name is Jenny Gagnon and I am in the morning class. I am a senior, graduating in spring 2007 with a major in Criminology and minor in Spanish. I have not for sure decided what I would like to do with my degrees. In this class, I hope to learn more about issues in criminology relating to ethics within the police culture.
Regina's goal to get her masters and go into correctional counseling sounds exciting!

My name is Dustin Kirby. This is the start of my fourth year at Fresno State. I am a criminology major with an option in law enforcement. I want to go into a violent crime division of an agency, but I haven't really decided anything yet.
I am in the morning class.
I am looking foward to participating in discussions about ethical issues in law enforcement, such as the one presented in class today; is it okay for an officer to accept a free cup of coffee?

My name is Laura Abruzzo and I am in the afternoon class. I am a junior at Fresno State and a criminology major. I am interested in victimology , or pre-law, and hope to use my criminology degree to succeed in the criminal justice career field. My expectations for this course are to help discover a little more about the criminal justice field , and therefore, help narrow my decision down for my career choices when I graduate.

| HI! My name is Janelle Perez and i am in my third year of college in the afternoon Crim112 class. I obtained my AA degree from Fresno City College where i attended classes along with Reedley College, and College of the Sequoias in Visalia. The reason for my broad range of schools is due to my location which is right in the middle of all of these, in the small town of Kingsburg. As a criminology major i have chosen Victimology as my emphasis. I am still not certain of my career goals, and along with Laura, i hope this class as well with my other criminology classes helps guide me in the path of choosing and narrowing my career choices. My name is Kendall Reynolds. I am majoring in Criminology with a law enforcement option. I plan on graduating in the Spring of 2007. Upon graduation, I plan to enroll in Law School, ultimately leading me to the Federal Bureau of Investigations.
I am currently enrolled in the afternoon Crim 112 class.
One of the many things I would like to get out of this class is a better understanding on how to make decisions with in the criminal justice field. Many of my classmates have different views on certain issues and I am eager to try understand them and intergrate their ideas with my own.

When I graduate in the spring I'm set as a becoming a Logistics Readiness Officer, but I'm trying to change my job code so I can an OSI agent (federal agent for the AF). Any question about that just ask. I'm also a sworn reserve with the Fresno County Sheriff Department and I have been in the 108 unit for 4 year now. Any wuestions about the crim 108 class, feel free to ask. Other than that I'm just ready to get done with school. Last edited on Wed Aug 30th, 2006 05:24 pm by Crim112Shultz

I look forward to talking about that same issue. I think that some of the ethical discussions we'll have in this class will be very interesting. Hopefully we are on different sides because i love to hear different views from mine.

I am a sophomore double majoring in Crim and Philosophy Pre-Law. I'm not sure what I want to be when I grow up but I want to go to law school. The afternoon section is where the party's at , since that's the section I'm in. I look forward to the discussions we'll have in class, as well as on here, about what is "ethical" and who thinks what is right and wrong.
Oh yeah, what is up with this "mana" stuff??

| I think it is awesome that Trent wants to work in victim services. Honestly, I don't really know of many males with an option in victimology that would like to pursue working with victims. Last edited on Thu Aug 31st, 2006 04:04 am by Crim112Bates

| Hey there! My name is Meg and I am in the TTH AM class. I am a senior, this is the start of my second year here at Fresno State. I will be graduating in May of '07...Can't wait! I just graduated from the Fresno County Sheriff's Academy (PHEW!!! what a challenge!), and am hoping to get hired full time by the new year, but it's a long process that I'm just now beginning! I plan on working on the street for several years in as many different details as possible (mounteds, boats, NARCS, MAGEC, etc.) before promoting through ranks while I work towards my MS. I have lots of goals and lots of energy! I hope to meet some more interesting people in the field and look forward to some great discussions...Talk to you soon!

Hello everyone, My name is Deborah but most people call me Debbie. I am still trying to add to the morning class. I am a criminology major with an emphasis in victimology, who will be graduating this spring (if all goes as plan.) I am not sure yet what exactly i want to do after I receive my degree but i am thinking of working for some non-profits or victim service providers.
I honestly did not know what to expect from this course. I do think to some degree it is a sad comment on society that we have to mandate a class in ethics but as mentioned in class there is more grey area than black and white areas.
