I am a current Pasadena Police Corporal, former LAPD, with 11 years of experience.  I am currently assigned to a gang and narcotics unit and a member of the deparment's SWAT team.  I attempting to better educate myself and earn my degree with Union.

I expect to learn a great deal about how terrorist work, why they act the way they do and why they all hate America.  Hating America seems to be a common theme among all terrorist, no matter what their motivation.  I also expect to have a better overall understanding of why terrorist act out they way they do.  Terrorist are very motivated and I want to know what drives them.

I believe this course will better educate me on terrorist beliefs and allow me to take that knowledge and pass it on throughout my career.  Pasadena is a potential terrorist target due to the numerous high profile events the city host yearly.  Any knowledge that I can gain that would better protect myself and the community I serve is knowledge well received.
