Now that I have your attention, please allow me to introduce myself.
I work for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections as a Probation and Parole Officer III. I have been so emplyed for 11 years January. I worked in the prison for 3 years. In 6 years, I will retire. Life is looking better every day.
I am also a Reserve Police Officer in my local municipality. I have been with them for 7 years. I get to work public functions, transport, ride in a patrol car, take a patrol car, ride bike patrol, and (my personal favorite) SOT. All this for a reasonable fee ... FREE. It just has to be part of your personality.
I work PT security for a local Department Store. $13 an hour ain't bad in this neck of the woods and I really want to quit but the ODOC just doesn't pay it's people enough to raise a family.
All these cop jobs. Hence the name L4WM4N.
I'm 38. I have a wonderful family. I've been married 16 years and have 2 girls and a boy. My favorite gun is the Springfield XD-40. I carry it for ODOC and PT security. The PD is scared to try anything new so it's Beretta 96D or Glock22. Well, I sold my 22 for the XD. I just got an AR-15. My first rifle. Got any pointers? What little free time I have is spent chasing kids and I usually wind down with the wife or my 360.
