Hi Angela,
I'm married and a mother of three. I'm working towards my BA in Criminal Justice. Do most jobs in the Criminal justice field require a degree? I should be done with school by Fall. How long have you been working for the Probation Dept? Do you like it? I would really appreciate if you could give me any info that might be helpful for me.
Thanks- and hope to hear from you soon
Donna

Hey everyone,
My name is Lauren and I attend Cal State Fullerton, and am currently enrolled in CJ315. I work in a retail store and am in the process of getting my B.A. in criminal justice.I have one year left at this school. I then plan on going to grad school. I'm not quite sure what i want to do yet, but I know this is the field that I want to work in. I expect to have a better understanding of the enforcement function and how is it used today.

Hi Mary,
It looks like you like to keep yourself busy. Homeland security sounds like fun and In & Out sounds like a good, I think I will have it for lunch.

| Hello My name is Tony Aceves. I currently live in the City of Orange in Orange County. I completed my History BA last semester and I am currently working on my CJ minor. I hope to either get a MA/PHD to become a prof. or go to law school in order to become an attorney, either way I plan to continue my education by getting a masters. I was a trainer at Disneyland's Haunted Mansion but I am currently unemployed in order finish school. I enjoy reading, video games/card games, hiking, sports and am a big historical war/weapon addict.

Hello Erika
My name is Tony, do you have Dery for 310A?
I am taking 2 classes with Dery. I also have corrections and the enforcement function this semester. Do you have a favorite area of study in the CJ field? I like the history of Law and law enforcement.

Hello everyone! My name is LeAndra Ramirez and am currently enrolled in the crime and Deliquency course at Cal State Fullerton. I transfered here a year ago from Mt. San Jacinto Community College. I currently work for Kaiser Permanente in Riverside for the Medical Records department. I do not have much experience in the criminal justice field but have always took a string interest. I began as a Psychology major, but was always leaning towards legal or forensic Psychology, not so much the clinical side. I am still a Psych major and currently declared a Criminal Justice Major as well. I look forward to expanding my knowledge on a variety of aspects of criminal justice in this class.
Talk to you soon.

Hey Jon,
It's Rene, and it looks like we have something in common. We both want to become police officers. Where did you want to attend the academy and what city would you like to eventually work in?

Hi JHoward (Sorry, I didn't get your first name).
I enjoy very much working for a small beach city (especially after having worked for a large agency).
Good luck with your education, and your future job searching. If I can offer any advice, let me know.
This class (Computer Crime) is informative and insightful.

Hi Bob,
Tamara here - Pub Admin Major -- I also have an AA in Criminology and, like you, this is my second attempt to complete the Bachelor's (University of Phoenix) -- lotta years between the two although I also have racked up quite a few lower level units, but without the BA, I've pretty much topped out at my City: I am the Finance Supervisor for the City of Lindsay (Freeze Central) -- I've been told if I get the degree, I'll get the Finance Director spot in 5 years. That was the incentive for me to finally finish the degree requirements, but I'm kinda thinking of going a different direction once more avenues are available to me. I have a son who is a freshman in HS. How old are your sons? I know the juggling act. Anyway, I'm a little out of my element with all the law enforcement personnel, but I have the utmost admiration and appreciation for the job you folks do! I am in my second session with UI&U -- one more after this and that BA will be mine! How about you? What's your ETG? Is there another screen that we are supposed to be posting opinions on a specific topic or answer to questions? I still don't have a good handle on this techno stuff. Good luck on your academic quest. t

| Hey, Im Katie and I am taking CJ 315 at Cal State Fullerton. This is my second semester, and I am double majoring in CJ and in Psyc. I currently work for Pechanga Resort and Casino as a fine dining server, and live in Temecula - yes, I commute a long way two days a week! My educational goals are to get my BA in CJ and get a degree in Psyc, then enter the work force, maybe go into Parole, although I change my mind a lot. From the class I am taking, I expect to learn a little of the background of the Criminal Justice system, then learn mostly current information that will help me to succeed in my future career. Good luck this semester to all of you!!
