Hey, thats pretty cool that you do loss prevention. I got a buddy who does loss prevention for sears and like many assumed I also thought he was more involved in apprehending shoplifters etc. But as I thought about it more it is almost common sense that the job of loss prevention is to find those preventive measures that will disable both internal and external influences from bringing loss to the store. I can imagine you deal with a lot of paper work, surveys, experimental methods, and meetings.
Like you I come from a law enforcement family. I myself am a special police officer in Hackensack NJ. I'm actually waiting patiently to get called from all the civil service exams I've taken over the past two years.

Hi my name is Kevin and this is my third year at Cal State Fullerton. I have been working full time and I attend night classes. I really enjoy criminal justice and I hope to go to law school, or have something to do with law enforcement. I find the material in the criminal justice field extremely interesting and I am looking forward to graduation in the spring.[size=]

Hi Gabriela I think we have class together on Thursday nights. First I wanted to say congratulations on your upcoming graduation this spring I’m sure you are very excited. I also am graduating in the spring. And now that I have completed the majority of CJ classes I wish that I was going into forensics. It is such an interesting field. Well I wish you luck after graduation and I hope you enjoy your future career in forensics.

Hi,
I would like to take a moment to thank you for the confidence you are showing in my person of Guerlinz Affriany. I have been working as law enforcement for 12 years. My ability to serve and to demonstrate teamwork and attention to detail are the hallmarks of every true guard. In addition, my dedication, composure and high spirits have remained constant and unflagging during my tour of duty.
As you know, this job demands a high level of discipline and awareness. While at my post, I have been serving as a representative of Haitian Police, US Army, and Private Security.
Thousands of our fellow New Yorkers, Haitians, and Americans have crossed my post. My vigilant presence, I assure you, has been a comfort to them and I have been a daily reminder that security protection is always served as the first line of Homeland Defense.
The purpose of this introduction is to inform you of my qualifications in the field of protection specialist and to offer my services to our fellow New Yorkers in highest level.

| Hello, my name is Jason. I've worked for the City of Brea for over 16years, 11 of them as a sworn officer. I've had alot of assignments over the years, patrol, sro, fto, detective, and currently have ancillary assignments as a rangemaster, explorer advisor, and citizen academy coordinator. I'm just starting my 30unit residency with Union, and I can't wait to be finished.

| If you'd like some advice, pick an agency, or several agencies, and apply to them as a recruit. Going to an academy as an unsponsored recruit adds stress that you won't need, and puts you at a disadvantage when it comes to training and resources.

| My name is Brian. I too work for Brea. My experience in the department during the last 21 years has covered many areas, most recently as a Patrol Seargeant. I feel the most comfortable working in a training environment. It is my hope that my strength as a trainer will come into play throughout my college experience.

| Hi, I am currently working as a school resource officer in Orange County, Ca. I have just enrolled at the Union Institute to further my education to make myself more eligible for promotion and other benefits my department offers. The first class already seems like there is a lot of work. I hope I can keep up...

Hello, my name is Chad. I have been a police officer in Orange County, California for the past 12 years and am currently assigned to a career criminal surveillance unit. Yesterday, I began attending the Union Institute & University with the goal of earning a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice Management. As with many people, I became engrossed with my career, family, and personal life instead of attending college. I finally realized the importance of an education, especially for promotional opportunities in my career, which is why I am focused on completing my degree and graduating.

| Good luck with your travels. It sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders. The good thing about law enforcement is it will always be there, job security. The knuckle heads aren't going anywhere. Once you graduate, have fun in Europe.

How did your first two sessions go? It seems a little overwhelming. It took me quite a while to get my A.A., but I did it. Are you taking two classes per session?

Hello everyone. I've been a member of the Los Angeles Police Department for 18 years. This is my 2nd session at Union. I'm looking forward to networking with several of you. I'm searching for the group from the Twin Towers but I'm comfortable saying hello to everyone that's serious enough to continue thier education while working in a field that's challenging.
Talk to you all soon.

I know where you are coming from. I also put off a degree because I got engrossed wth my career and family. I think another reason I put it off education is because I am now at a point in my career where promation is not a far off idea like it was when I started. Additionally, I hate to see jack asses with less experience then me promoting.

| Hi, I'm Robb and I am in my 14th year fighting crime in Orange County. I'm currently assigned to motors and enjoy every minute. Prior to motors, I was a Patrol Corporal, and FTO and the downtown crime suppression officer. I have also been a member of North County SWAT and the bike team. I hope to learn how to access more than my e-mail on the computer, as I have found I am a few years behind in my skills. And being it took me 20 minutes to type this paragraph, I lack typing skills as well. I guess I have been spoiled with a dictation serve for too many years.

| It's nice to see I'm not the only one challenged with the log on procedures. I'm curious why you chose NJ for your LE career, rather than the west coast?
