It appears that I either messed up or my introduction was lost. So, my name is Don, I am a Lieutenant with the Glendale Police Department. I also teach Criminal Justice at Mount San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif and serve as a Commissioner for the Los Angeles County Probation Department. In my spare time I serve with the Cal Guard, State Military Reserve and enjoy my outside interests.
During my career I have served in virtually every assignment. Some of my favorites were Motors, Helicopter, Gangs, Auto Theft, Robbery-Homicide and Major Narcotics. I was not thrilled when assigned to the Professional Standards Bureau.
I enjoy where I work. I have had the opportunity to attend many good classes, courses and schools. Most notably the FBI National Academy, Class 198; USC Delinquency Control Institute and the USC School of Aviation Safety Management.

Hey,
I would really appreciate it, if you could answer come questions regarding the Criminal Justice career for me. I'm a senior at a high school in Southern California and have to interview someone in the Criminal Justice field for my senior project.
The questions are as follows:
1. On a typical day in your job capacity, what do you do?
2. What training or education is required for such an occupation?
4. What part of your job do you find most satisfying?
5. How did you get to where you are?
6. How many hours do you work in a typical week?
7. Are there lots of people going into this career right now?
Feel free to add in extra information, and if you are not comfortable answering any of the questions, feel free to ignore it.
Thank you.
Rick Jamil.
