"the unlawful use of force against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives".

(used by one of the members in this forum, kmillercj31507)

I thought it to be interesting because if one where to ask anyone at random abut terrorism their first resoponse most likely would involve Iraq. Indeed it does coerce with the definition, but many people believe that, that type of terrorism is the only type of terrorism.
Terrorism can include basically any criminal intent, in my view. If terrorism by the FBI is something unlawful to force againt persons or property that intimidates civilian pop it may very well include gangs, the act of robbery, burglary, theft, arson etc.
It could be that becuase out country is wrapped around todays war that many people forget other terrorist issues that are actively occuring in our neighborhoods. The issues of gangs, assults etc. should be given that much attention as that of our war because they ARE terrorist acts.
Terrorism conflicts with many apprehendible thoughts.
